Not only will you find spec that is higher than our competitors (e.g. Iridium S'Plugs, Idler Pulley &New Drive Belt included all levels), but prices that should make them feel very embarrassed! Each package is based on achieving a combination of maximum power, drivability & reliability, with maximum value for money. If your car already has non GTT performance parts fitted that you wish to add to, we can produce a custom package for you, so no need to feel left out! The testing and developing of the GTT conversions includes many thousands of road miles, hundreds of track miles, drag racing & rolling road sessions. If we (Steve) cannot break it, nor will you! We have stripped the engines, gearbox's & most other parts of these cars down to the last nut &bolt. Only then, in our opinion, should license be given to sell & fit tuning parts to these cars. Please note we have used only fully independent rolling roads to establish output power during development of these conversions. Actual power output is very dependant on temperature, humidity and engine/ supercharger condition. Unfortunately it is also a sad fact in the motor trade, there are those that occasionally will fudge results on there own dyno to make their conversions read high & likewise, competitors conversions read low. For these reasons we only use fully independent 'non Mini specialist' (read non vested interest) rolling road houses. Performance Parts THE GT TUNING
At GTT all our designs HAVE to exceed in all areas, if we cannot improve on what is currently available we will not produce it. Suffice to say that doesn't happen too often, if it does, we will offer that product! Therefore any 'non-GTT brand' product that we sell, we have high praise for indeed .Brands such as Quaife Porsche & Bilstein for example. Of course there are many new & unique products to be found in this section as well. The other criteria is price. In many instances, not only will you receive a better product, but at a lower price at the same time. One reason we can achieve this is because we design & manufacture; there is no middle man. NOTES; The products in this section are for Cooper S. In some instances the same product (or similar) is suitable for Mini One and/or Cooper. Image Name: None. All GTT conversions include a re-flash to the ecu (optimised to the other components of each conversion) via the OBD2 port. This includes improvements to fueling maps, ignition maps, traction control maps (smoother intervention) and where requested, slightly increased rev limit. All maps have been extensively tested and proven world wide, since 2002.Similar maps are also used by other companies charging up to 4 times as much! Please note we only use the latest versions available, which are continually being improved. All GTT maps are biased to provide good reliability safety margins. We do not run excessive lean mixtures or crazy rpm's just to achieve the last 5 bhp at the expense of long term reliability. Our extensive test programmes include the use of on board Wide-Band super accurate O2 sensors and knock meters to ensure correct fueling /ignition timing under all real world conditions. All our products have received much race track, drag strip and rolling road testing too! Worth noting is that our re-flash is invisible to the BMW dealers scan tool, we will also keep a copy of your file so in the event it were ever overwritten we can always reload it for you. We do not charge for this normally. We recommend the use of 97 or 98 octane petrol though 95 octane (regular unleaded) can be used. £199+vat -------------------
GTT IRIDIUM SPARKPLUGS
. Image Name: Spark Plugs. These are fitted to all GTT conversions. Although expensive for us to purchase they do provide the last word in sparkplug performance, and are vastly superior to the std. '4 earth electrode' items, improving both performance and economy. The Iridium tip not only has a much higher melting point than any other sparkplug tip material, but is considerably harder at the same time. This gives very good service life. In most cases we increase the heat range over stantard. This is important in preventing detonation from a glowing plug (an engine killer) under extreme load and temperatures. Incidently we choose NGK over Denso purely due to even longer life. £34+vat (set of 4) -----------------
Image Name: Supercharger Pulley. The GTT S/C pulley is featured in all GTT conversions (except GTT190) , and is responsible for supplying the additional boost, that provides much of the power increase in all Cooper S performance conversions (JCW included ! ). MATERIAL GTT use high quality carbon steel, this has many advantages over aluminium/duralium etc. Even though it is more costly to manufacture due to the slower machining feed rates. Firstly the Superchargers drive shaft is produced in steel therefore only steel pulleys will expand at the same rate ensuring the grip on the shaft is maintained at high temps and rpm. Also steel is considerably harder wearing than duralium/alumimium etc, ensuring our pulleys last the distance. Small amounts of wear on the pulley will greatly increase the risk of power robbing belt slip, remember the S/C requires considerable force to turn it! The OE pulley is manufactured from steel and finished in black paint. The GTT item is also finished in black epoxy with the added benefit that its discrete 'similar to OE' appearance does not draw the unwanted attention that a bright silver pulley will, or even worse one with a ring of bolts around it!. FIXING METHOD The original pulley is an interference fit on the shaft. GTT too has adopted this method. This has considerably less risk of coming loose than the tapered bore types which rely on a ring of small bolts to supply clamping pressure to a collet. One area worth mentioning is the removal of the OE pulley. GTT use their own purpose designed tooling to remove it with no risk whatsoever of supercharger damage. Even the OE pulley itself comes off 100% in tact. The GTT pulley uses a clever remove/refit system making it relatively easy to return to standard should you ever wish to. We return the original pulley to the customer after each conversion. £59+vat ---------------
. Image Name: Idler Pulley. All GTT conversions (except GTT190) are unusual in that they also include a very high quality 3 piece idler pulley, purpose designed from scratch to replace the OE item. This is considerably better engineered and features 3 way spigoting. i.e. there are positive locations into the recess in the engine block and a further two either side of the bearing. The STD OE item relies purely on clamping pressure from a single M8 bolt to hold everything together, not ideal at 15,000 rpm! The GTT item also uses a wider, larger diameter high temperature bearing, rated at 35,000 rpm to support the load better We can supply in either std. diameter or increased diameter, the latter giving marginally improved grip to the adjacent SC pulley. Finally concentricity and surface finish is to a finer tolerance. The central 'V' groove is also dispensed with, all of which will ensure minimum possible belt wear. The pulley is manufactured from L168 aerospace grade alloy and black anodised for good corrosion resistance whilst maintaining a 'stealth stock appearance'. £79+vat ------------
Image Name: Drive Belt. All GTT pully conversions include a high quality replacement drive belt, its construction is more supple than the original, important due to the tight radius loops encountered. As a bonus we find this belt is less prone to belt squeak or ticking. This belt is also shorter in length, ensuring that the tensioner remains at an optimum 'midway' position without risk of running out of adjustment (i.e. reaching the end stop) as the belt stretches. Although some companies don't bother changing the belt with their pulley changes, we feel this is not only bad practice but the further extended tensioner wheel results in excessive 'doubling back' of the belt potentially shorting belt life and risk of premature failure. Remember that a shredded belt will leave you stranded so it is wise to take all possible precautions! Incidentally we would recommend a drive belt change once a year or every 12k miles (whichever the sooner). For GTT customers with our pulley/belt conversions this is available at a special 'customer friendly' price! £15+vat (part only) -----------
Image Name: Cold Ram, Cold Ram on car. (two images) This product is included in GTT 220 conversions and above. * True 360 degree rolled edge (CNC turned from solid) Ram-Pipe. This is expensive to produce & quite unique as other companies( if they even use a Ram Pipe atall ! ) use a 'spun alloy' ram-pipe that will always have an 'undercut' lip which cannot allow air to be drawn in from behind the pipe. This is as a poor substitute for a true machined fully round section lip. Our Ram-Pipe will pull air from all directions including behind the pipe, avoiding undesirable air currents at the trumpet entrance. Notice also the Ram Pipe entrance is positioned well out into the airbox, if it were flat against the airbox face it could never draw in air from the rear! By comparison a round hole at one end of the airbox is about as bad as it gets, we know as we've tested them on a flowbench! * True cold feed using a larger (note the angled side) 'twin skin' upper airbox to shield away the heat from the adjacent hot exhaust manifold This increases airbox volume by around 25% over all other designs that seal against the bonnet underside. The 5mm air gap between the skins gives a superb thermal barrier. After a hard run the Ram Pipe remains ice cold to the touch. The upper airbox/heatshield is anodised in an attractive blue finish for good appearance and longevity. * Optimum filtration, with negligible pressure loss is achieved using a large corrugated cotton gauze cylindrical filter of over 5" dia (others use 4" max) enclosing the Ram-Pipe. This is effectively(almost) invisible to the incoming air, which is also drawn in through the end of the cylinder through a 'twin layer gauze filtering screen' .This again is much preferable to a capped end. This is all held and supported to the airbox with 4 stainless steel springs, allowing simple dismantling to clean. The air feed is supplied to the filter from the original front intake plus a second and more significant feed from the scuttle area at the base of the windscreen. This is a natural high pressure zone giving the GTT airbox a relatively undisturbed high pressure zone to 'draw' from. We recommend an extra hole is made in the 'plastic divider' between the scuttle area and engine bay (or the panel removed) to achieve maximum performance potential. Incidently a small funnel shoved into the outside airstream will not achieve good flow. Our system can be removed or re-fitted in 5mins for dealer servicing if required! Airbox should be as large as possible (with our system the scuttle area effectively becomes part of the airbox volume too) with high pressure cold air feeds. A true rolled edge Ram-Pipe should be positioned with its entrance typically extending half way out into this airbox. GTT design fulfills all these fundamental design criteria& more! The best induction kit for the MCS by far..........
. Image Name: PM Intercooler, Intercooler plus Std. (two images) This product is included in the GTT 230 conversion and above. As with all the GTT product line up we've really gone to town creating numerous improvements throughout. CORE SIZE This is the largest Cooper S top mount intercooler yet; 16 tubes for the air to flow through ( OE has 11 ). These are also 20mm longer than OE giving an effective internal core capacity increase of 55%.To get 16 tubes in we have not sacrificed tube width either. GTT tubes are almost 8mm wide (virtually the same as stock). The finned sections are also 8mm wide. This combined with a special low lose tube design results in virtually no pressure drop across the intercooler, with unsurpassed reduction in charge air temperature. END TANKS The GTT end tanks are just that! Tanks that allow the air to enter and exit all the tubes in as equal proportions as possible. We have not used a 'funnel principle' as the very short distance between the intercooler 'bullhorns' would not allow this to be achieved effectively without reducing the core length. A funnel would restrict much air flow from entering &exiting the rear most tubes of the intercooler, negating the benefits of having the larger core in the first place. If the space allowed us another six inches or so we would funnel. It doesn't! We have however incorporated a corner radius in the tank corners to ensure good flow around these areas. OVAL CONNECTOR TUBES There are a nightmare for any manufacturer. The accuracy needed in reproducing the shape & size is absolutely essential if you are to achieve an intercooler that doesn't leak at the rubber bellow connectors. Any mismatch in profile to the clamps and it will leak! Probably not a lot, but to make matters worse you may not hear or notice anything, other than the car isn't very quick! GTT have invested thousands in the design and manufacturing of our oval inlet/outlet spouts which are CNC milled from solid billet. This is far more accurate than forming or unmachined sand castings. For those not familiar, we start with a complex computer programme generated from measuring the inside and outside profiles on the end of the 'bullhorns', effectively machining the entire alloy away until we are just left with an oval ring. That's the bit we weld to the endtanks. We do all this twice for every intercooler we make! Another advantage of this method of manufacture, is the immense rigidity it achieves, far greater than possible with any type of forming. This ensures it cannot deform when fully clamped together, causing air leakage.
Look through the scoop and you will see that the top face of the GTT intercooler sits flush with the lower edge of the scoop. Any higher and the air flow will be seriously reduced. Again we have not sacrificed core height to achieve this .The tubes are still 50mm high! You will NOT need to cut the threaded OE intercooler mounting posts off either. FINISH Finally the GTT intercoolers are pressure leak tested and hand mirror polished.
(Included FREE with our 16 tube intercooler) The diffuser features a 3 section bolted GTT anodised alloy 'air dam' around the intercooler perimeter. This utilizes the full scoop width, channeling exactly to the GTT core width. Each section of the dam is contoured exactly to the curves of the bonnet underside, it is not flat! A nitrile rubber trim then seals between the two. In essence the only way out for the incoming air is through the intercooler core. For neat appearance our design allows the original black scoop deflector/liner on the bonnet underside to be retained. £399+vat (intercooler & diffuser) ----------------------
GTT INTERCOOLER SPRAY
Image Name: None. This is an optional product particularly beneficial during the hot summer months. We utilize a fine 'flat fan' spray pattern nozzle positioned adjacent to the intercooler core. We incorporate high quality stainless steel fittings and mounting bracket which connect via supplied nylon tubing to the OE headlight or rear washer pump & reservoir. Also in the kit is a sprung loaded toggle switch for the dashboard, wiring and inline fuse holder. Intercooler efficiency increases considerably when wet. This is certainly no gimmick! £ TBA ----------------------
Image Name: GTT Re-Route Pipe. This is included in GTT240 conversions and above. This product effectively gives you aftermarket system benefits at a fraction of the price, whilst maintaining the stock tailpipe appearance. The OE system is a mind boggling maze of tight bends with two silencers. The GTT Re-Route pipe deletes many of these bends and one of the silencers, reducing restrictions and giving a better exhaust note in the process (not to loud). As an added bonus it also removes nearly 20lb in weight! It is manufactured from S304 stainless steel, TIG welded throughout & mirror polished. Comes complete with new clamps. £79+vat ------------- GTT CAMSHAFTS Image Name: Camshaft. This product is included in GTT 240 conversions and above. Produced to our own spec further increasing power output with no loss of low end power whatsoever. The spec is a little special in that it we use different cam timing for the inlet and exhaust valves as well as increased lift on both. This cam is optimised for the 'S' and is not a compromise cam designed for both 'S' and non 'S' Minis. It is available as either a new billet replacement cam or as a re-ground OE cam. Image Name: Camsprocket. Having spent considerable time checking & testing cams one thing we have found is that the car manufacturers timing can be out by up to 3 degrees (crank angle) also as the cam chain wears it stretches and retards the cam timing. To combat this, our GTT adjustable sprocket allows simple, easily accessible adjustment of the timing: either to the manufacturers spec (using a drop-clock and degree disc) or with rolling-road power runs to optimise power output. GTT include this product when fitting our cam (exchange) .Why settle for nearly right when you can have provision for absolutely right! From £69+vat (exch) --------------------- GTT 63mm
. Image Name: PM Large Throttle Body. This product is included GTT240 conversions and above. The STD 57mm throttle body when modifying to higher levels of power becomes a restriction that needs to be removed. Consider also that at wide open throttle the excessively wide butterfly spindle imposes a further restriction (a reduction of 570 square mm's) reducing the cross sectional area to the equivalent of just 50mm diameter! At GTT we precision bore to 63mm diameter. This size perfectly matches the internal diameter of the SC inlet plenum which it is bolted and dowelled onto. The surface finish is maintained to CLA 32 or better. In other words very fine and accurate, ensuring no sticking throttle plate or leaking at idle. We have seen other offerings that would make a ploughed field look flat! Throttle bodies are sold on exchange. Where possible the customers own part is modified. £239+vat (exch) As an optional extra we can further increase cross sectional area at wide open throttle by careful removal of much of the throttle spindle (POA) -----------------------

Combing 14 years of gasflowing experience and a lot of hard work; the results are outstanding. GTT Stage 2 Gasflowed / Ported Cylinder Head. Image Name: None. With the stage 2 things get a bit special. Firstly the exhaust ports are CNC milled out to achieve perfect port size, shape and position. We are unique in using true 3D cutter paths, cad-cam generated. Long series ball nose cutters machine the ports achieving true 3D transition from port face to throat. Only GTT do this! No manual method can achieve this level of accuracy, nor maintain consistent metal removal this far down the ports. Secondly the exhaust valve seats are increased in diameter by 2mm internally, giving big improvements in getting the exhaust gasses out. On top of this there is still around 25 hours of manual fettling and polishing carried out on the inlet and exhaust ports, throats and combustion chambers. We also flow the manifolds and even the exhaust header pipes if required. £749+vat (exch) -----------------------
GTT SPORTS MANIFOLD c/w REMOVABLE CAT SECTION (STAINLESS STEEL)
Image Name: None To make this the best available we have a few tricks up our sleeve. Firstly we use TIG welding throughout; this is vastly superior to MIG welding used by most. It's better penetration resulting in a much stronger, smaller, & neater weld. This takes a lot longer to produce, but we think the Mini deserves proper engineering! Secondly we use not only 1.5" tube for the primaries but 2.5"(rather than 2.25") for the secondary pipe & flexi coupler. The flange plate is machined to the exact profile of the OEM manifold gasket; no steps &no restriction. Manifolds with round holes on the top flange plate are no good at all, they however much cheaper to make. The head ports are a rectangular shape with R15 rads on the top 2 corners and R6 rad on the lower 2 corners. The manifold needs to match this, then achieve good smooth profile transition into the 1.5" diameter primaries. Finally we have opted for a 1.2mm narrow wall tube to reduce weight, remember weight is the enemy! The new 120CPSI high efficiency/flow sports cat is unique in that it is a separate section, flange mounted at each end between the GTT manifold and the exhaust system. This allows quick and easy changeover without removing or disturbing either part. Why would I want this? Two reasons ,one is it allows our optional GTT 'cat bypass link pipe' to be easily substituted for track days & racing, releasing more power and reducing weight in the process. And secondly it gives provision for simple & cost effective cat replacement i.e. you don't need to purchase a complete new manifold too we have seen some aftermarket sports cats failing after just 30000miles.This shows as faultcode P0420 'catalyst system efficiency below threshold' and can cause mot failure and emissions test fail. With our system should the cat eventually become contaminated, you can purchase just a replacement cat, much cheaper & much easier to fit. NB The GTT Sports Manifold / Cat can be used with most exhaust systems. Fits all petrol models. £449+vat ------------------------

Image Name: None. To compliment our Idler Pulley, the GTT Tensioner Pulley features the same close tolerance machining and surface finish, minimising belt wear. It is produced in L168 aerospace grade alloy then hard anodised in black for maximum durability. It is supplied complete with new high quality bearing pressed in & circliped. £59+vat
Image Name; None. This Hard Anodised Competition Idler Pulley features 2 separate bearings (not a single twin ball race bearing) these are positioned as far apart as possible, the housing being extended outwards to achieve this. The result is optimum support for the load, even in conditions where the belt runs marginally off pulley centreline. For Competition use this is what you need .Available in stock diameter or +5mm diameter. £89+vat
Image Name: Tensioner over travel stop. This product prevents the tensioner pulley & damper smashing into the crank pulley (harmonic damper) should the drive belt snap. A snapped belt is bad enough in itself, without a destroyed crank pulley and tensioner assembly too! The STD OE system relies on a small 'T' shaped twist at the end of the tensioner spring to prevent overtravel should the belt snap. In practice the force of the belt snapping is large enough to break this off, in fact it can even break off if you miss a gear at full throttle. (this happened on our car!) The GTT Limit stop prevents overtravel in a far more reliable way. Easy to fit,& highly recommended for any MCS. £24+vat ------------------
(stock diameter or +4mm) Image Name: Crank pulley. The stock item weighs in at around 7 pounds .The GTT item weighs just one pound! The benefits are similar to those experienced with lighter flywheels: i.e. better throttle response and free revving. However both unit cost and fitting costs/time are considerably less than those associated with lightweight flywheels. Our design features 6 spokes (to achieve the required strength),a separate steel sleeve to achieve the correct interference fit onto the crankshaft nose, and a bolt on pulley wheel. As we've said before, an interference fit between an aluminium pulley and a steel shaft is poor engineering practice. This is due to the different expansion rates and also risk of 'picking up', a process where the alloy welds itself to the steel shaft when you remove it .This causes a lot of damage to the alloy part and makes a mess on the steel shaft too. Our pulley is HARD anodised to eliminate corrosion and minimize pulley wear. No other pulley gives you these important design features. The larger diameter version gives the equivalent 'gearing change' to the supercharger of 'minus 3%' .This means they are best suited to Std, JCW or-15%cars .The latter two then having equivalent to ' minus 18% pulley' , without the risk of pulley slip normally risk associated with very small S/C pulleys. And of course you get the quick spin up too! These items are primarily intended for competition use. £129+vat QUAIFE ATBD (Limited Slip Diff.) Image Name: none If you want to reduce your lap times by reducing wheel spin from the inside wheel powering out of the corner, you need this. The Quaife is in our opinion the best available. It requires gearbox removal and split to fit. We can also supply new diff. taper roller bearings which will be required POA. If your car needs a new clutch, why not change the diff & F/W at the same time? £575+vat -----------------

Image Name: Coil pack. This high output coil pack delivers a staggering 40,000 volts, ensuring strong fat sparks for improved performance AND economy. Super smooth power and no misfires. It is a direct replacement for the stock coil, uses the original fixings, and is almost identical in appearance too. This product should be used with Live Wire Ignition Leads. £69+vat
Image Name; Ignition lead set. 4 plug lead set purpose made for the Mini. Leads feature an attractive space age woven fabric sock available in a choice of colours. Image name: Porsche big brakes, Porsche big brakes 19"wheels Be it for road use or track days, without doubt this has to be the ultimate brake setup for all Minis'! 341mm diameter by 32mm thick grooved & vented, handed rotors, to put that in perspective that's 10mm thicker & 65mm larger diameter than stock! Separate CNC machined anodised alloy bells with 14 fixing points per disc. Genuine Porsche 911 Twin Turbo alloy calipers. (They even come to you in sealed Porsche boxes from the main dealer) and not forgetting the all important Porsche logo on those beautiful red calipers! Also included are GTT CNC machined custom mounting brackets and kevlar 'fast road' brake pads. These pads are chosen to achieve very progressive braking under all conditions. This conversion provides effortless fade free braking suitable for both road and track. Incidentally there is no need to uprate the rear brakes, as only around 20% max of the braking is directed to the rear wheels. Another advantage of the GTT/Porsche conversion is that the unusually high 'rearward bias' of the Mini is moved forward a little. Can be used with 17" diameter or larger wheels. Image name: none Spacers are used for various reasons; to provide clearance between the wheels and brakes/ suspension, to look purposeful, or to improve handling. The Mini is unusual for a performance FWD car in that the front track width and rear track width are near identical. This results in the front washing out when pushed hard. i.e. the front slides (understeer).By comparison a standard 1989 205 GTi 1.9 is 30 mm wider at the front than the back! To combat this on the Mini, increasing the track width on the front will improve the front grip during cornering. A pair of GTT 16mm wheel spacers on the front can make a huge improvement to 'turn in'. These are not universal spacers but made specifically for the Mini. They are spigoted for accurate and strong location. We also produce 5mm flat spacers. All GTT spacers are anodised and sold in pairs. £29+vat (5mm pair) or £59+ vat (16mm pair) NB Longer wheel bolts should be used with wheel spacers POA 5. MCS bumper, giving a little more emphasis without overkill. Its '3D' profile is machined and hand fabricated from marine grade S316 stainless steel, and hand polished to a mirror finish. Available March' 05. This kit consists of GTT Retro-Slot Gear knob, Solid Bronze GTT Gaitor Surround, Chrome Aluminium Lower Surround and genuine Audi TT Gaitor. This kit is simple to fit, adding a lot of style. The proportions have been improved in that the gear knob is slightly smaller in diameter, and the gear stick shortened. Available April ' 05 This product is CNC turned & milled from solid billet aluminium, mirror polished, copper plated, polished again, nickel coated then either chrome plated or satinised. It includes a beautifully sculptured shape and finished details. Both the body and the release button are larger than stock. We felt the standard item was too small, and out of proportion to the adjacent overly large original gear knob .Please wait to see this product before buying any other! £ TBA
